Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the action with Stroud Brewery, one of a handful of dedicated organic breweries leading the charge on sustainability within the industry and producing a range of fantastic organic beers.

We are looking for an experienced salesperson to build relationships with our Off-trade customers which include large retailers (Ocado, Waitrose, Co-op), large home delivery services (Abel & Cole), independent retailers and wholesale suppliers to the retail market.

This role is perfect for someone who has previous sales experience within the drinks industry with a love for craft beer.



  • Meeting agreed Off-trade sales targets
  • Acquire new customers and support new sales grow 
  • Manage our existing account base and increase sales
  • Develop strategies to reach your sales goals
  • Provide monthly sales forecasts
  • Presents weekly/monthly sales reports
  • Work with our small marketing team, directing activity that supports your retail sales
  • Act as ambassador for our products and company
  • Host events with key accounts to engage directly with the consumer


  • Answering incoming enquiries and providing exceptional customer service
  • Preparing sales invoices
  • All associated sales administration and filing
  • Holiday cover for other members of the sales team: On-trade and Web-sales
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

Person Specification


  • Previous FMCG sales experience
  • Commercial experience
  • Proficient and effective use of CRM and sales tools
  • Excellent communicator: written and verbal
  • Good IT skills: Microsoft, Google, Websites
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Show and take initiative and responsibility
  • Self-motivated & can set own deadlines
  • Flexibility and willingness to work on a range of different jobs
