People generally only know what we tell them, so if we distract them with something shiny, they might not see the dirt.
So if we claimed WE SAVE THE WORLD because we’re shiny ORGANIC & B CORP & we use GREEN ENERGY, whilst omitting to tell you about our carbon footprint which is currently higher than we’d like, then you might be none the wiser about the areas where we need to (& will) do better.
This would be GREENWASHING & you’d be surprised how much of it goes on.
